Code Geass R2 Ep 16

Why so serious?

Why so serious?

A typical Code Geass episode with so much plot development that it rivals The O.C, at the end of which, the viewer is left licking their lips and begging for more!

So the last episode left us with an amnesiatic C.C. and I was wondering whether Code Geass would go the route of Elfen Lied where the lead guy (a wimp second only to Shinji Ikari) wouldn’t take advantage of this situation. As usual, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Lelouch gets straight down to business and…

...orders C.C. to strip.

...orders C.C. to strip.

However, before he could get all nice and cozy with her, he’s rudely interrupted by Jeremiah who tells Lelouch that Cornelia has been captured (which answers the reason as to why she’s so serious in the pic on top). Taking advantage of this situation…

...C.C. very understandably bails out.

...C.C. very understandably bails out.

The scene cuts to Suzaku where he’s still getting his ass beat up by Kallen from the previous episode!

Left, right, left, left, up...

Left, right, left, left, up...

...Brutality!

...BruTALITY!

We then see Zero having a press conference meeting with leaders of various countries, trying to convince them to join his cause in order to rid the world of the Britannian oppression. Although making a presentation via Little Big Planet would have won over the audience swiftly, Lelouch still managed to persuade everyone to…

...take over the world.

...take over the world as the 'united Federation of Nations'.

Leaving all the world domination plans behind, Lelouch gets to the more important things in life, like…

...reminding C.C. of Pizza Hut.

...reminding C.C. of Pizza Hut.

Cut back to Suzaku where he’s thankfully not getting bitch slapped by Kallen anymore; rather…

...having a relaxing conversation with Anya.

...having a relaxing conversation with Anya.

We find out through her little chit-chat with Suzaku that perhaps the Emperor might have used Geass on Anya to erase her memories as well. Hmmm….wonder why he did that? Suddenly Lord Bradley, aka…

...this asshole...

...this asshole...

…comes out of nowhere and interrupts the tender moment. Seems like the Knights of the Round Table are here in preparation of the oncoming war with the Zero and his recently allied army. A quick cut back to Kallen and we’re wondering…

...why so serious?

...why so serious?

Turns out Lord Asshole (see above) is there to sexually harass her. Thankfully Gino (Knight no. 3) steps in and shows some good old fashioned gentlemanly manners, simultaneously trying to degrade Lord Asshole. Back to things that really matter in Code Geass, we’re shown Kaguya giving a rather…

...admirable speech.

...admirable speech.

Essentially, all the countries under the ‘United Federation of Nations’ will henceforth cease military operations and will have their armies allied under the Zero’s Order of the Black Knights.  Whilst Britannians are still in a state of ‘wtf’, the UFN passes it’s first resolution: being that the Order of the Black Knight’s will liberate Japan from Britannia. Lelouch is acting all smug and shit when suddenly…

...the Emperor comes out of nowhere and Hax them!

...the Emperor comes out of nowhere and haxX0rZ them!

He announces to the world, Lelouch’s simple-minded plan and challenges him head on for a war. Lelouch is completely gobsmacked when he returns to his room, furiously thinking of his next move. Seeing him in such a predicament, C.C. innocently does the most logical thing and offers Lelouch some left over Pizza. Pissed off at being disturbed, Lelouch…

...slaps the bitch out of C.C!

...slaps the bitch out of C.C!

Regretting what he’d just done, Lelouch consoles the bleeding C.C. He asks her what she would do in a completely ‘omg pwnz0red’ situation, and she says that if she had any friends, then things would be easy. So in order to save Nunnally, Lelouch is forced to call his OTL one true best friend Suzaku. He finally confesses that he is in fact Zero, and Suzaku being the bitch that he is, says that he’ll only save Nunnally if…

...Lelouch comes and meet him first.

...Lelouch comes and meet him first.

And on that typical cliffhanger…

...SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!

...SEE YOU NEXT WEEK!
