Heroes Season 3 Ep 6

Still Alive!

I really don’t know what the writers were thinking with this episode, or where things were headed.

Anyways, let’s begin where things sort of left off last week, with Hiro killing Ando. Now, I mentioned back then that Hiro will obviously come back in time and save Ando, but the damage will have been done. That this will mark the beginning of Ando’s work towards the dark path. Apparently, the solution to this issue was rather uninspiring and extremely logical.

…as Mr. Petrelli “took” his powers. Sort of like his son Peter then, except that he quite literally sucks people’s powers out!

Parkman and Daphne go on a date…

I was actually looking forward to their love story develop, but again, events followed a logical (if a somewhat unpredictable) course. You’ll see later on.

On the other end of the spectrum of things being logical and unpredictable, we see Nathan and Tracy pay our good doctor a visit. And he agrees to…

We all know that ploy to “cure powers” is complete BS, and at this point Nathan should be smart enough to know that such a cure wouldn’t be possible. Oh well, they both got what they deserved for sheer stupidity and desperation. Learn to live with your shit emo kids!

Now here comes the lowest point of this episode which I think was the “filler” part. If the writers wanted the whole…

…to have any sort of emotional impact, they certainly failed on that front. The acting felt…flat, for lack of a better word. And if they wanted to show the deep feeling both mothers had for Claire, well, they failed there too.

Moving back to the emo, we see Peter being helped by Sylar in order to…

...save Angela.

At this point in time, of all the people in Heroes, I’m really digging Sylar. His transformation from bad to good wasn’t overnight, and neither is people’s attitude towards him; which is why he’s trying hard to control his instincts and fit in. Now the thing is, that when Sylar had his thirst for powers, he was a scheming evil person, with style and certain charm. Peter on the other hand, is completely obnoxious and needs to get spanked for being such a douche.  Also, we now know that Vader isn’t the only one who has a secret apprentice…

...the Emperor had one too!

By the way, Parkman’s love story with Daphne…

...didn't quite go as planned.

Still, hope remains, and I’m sure Parkman will live happily forever with Daphne, only to see her die in the future. Nah, we know Heroes isn’t that sinister, and things will surely change so that someone else dies instead of Daphne.

Back in the desert, Hiro finally manages to get…

...the African-Isaac...

…but only when he uses his head instead of relying on his powers. I can only hope that their story will be better than any other that’s going on in Heroes right now.

Speaking of better, looks like things got intresting when Peter got…

...his powers stolen...

…by none other than his dear old man! I would like to say ‘haha pwnd’ because if anything, Peter really deserved this.

Like I said in the beginning, I don’t know where the writers were trying to take the story with this episode. There’s hardly any plot development, and the situations just got very irritating. Let’s see whether things pick up in the next episode. I mean they have to, things certainly can’t get any worse can they?
