Bakemonogatari Ep 6

Suruga Monkey

Ok, so things have calmed down a bit from last week. Arargi is enjoying an irritating, yet enjoyable talk with Hachikuji. The annoying Grade school girl who lost her way and now is a full-fledged ghost. Anyways, she teases him about going to “study” with Senjogahara after school, saying that his intentions are rather malicious. This conversation doesn’t go on for long because a Kanbaru Suruga suddenly runs up to him.

Suruga, as it runs out, is a grade below Arargai and asks him what he’s upto. After he tells her that he’s going to visit Senjogahara, she leaves.

When he arrives at Senjogahara’s place, the two start discussing about future plans, what to do after college, moving in together, etc. Things are looking up for Araragi when suddenly he asks Senjogahara about Suruga. This firstly brings up the ‘psycho girlfriend’ side of Senjogahara, after which she explains that they used to be close together back in Junior high.

What came out of this conversation was that Suruga probably had feelings for Senjogahara. The end result of all this? Getting ass kicked!

The mysterious attacker is most obviously Suruga, who’s incredibly jealous of Araragi for getting so close Senjogahara. We’ll see how this situation is resolved next week. Highlight of this episode was the talk between Senjogahara and Araragi while discussing their future together. A normal discussion with Senjo is like a roller coaster ride, thanks to her razor sharp tongue and wit. That, and he’s also interested in getting it on with her. Scary thought to be honest.

And with that…
