FMA: Brotherhood 55 deculture!

It’s been a long time coming, and a lot has happened between now and episode 19, but here we are.

As I mentioned in my last post, I’ll keep things brief, so don’t expect a scene by scene analysis of this episode.

Hawkeye thanks Scar for bringing back Mustang onto the “right path”. Izumi and her hubby, along with the Armstong siblings kill off Sloth (finally!). Meanwhile Hohenheim and his nemesis “Father” have a nice friendly chat which quickly devolves into exchanging physical blows. To finish off the episode, the Briggs’ soldiers celebrate their victory over Central, when who decides to rain on their parade? King Bradley!

While it was a bit irritating to see Alex and Sig’s machismo, I was just glad that these two (physically) overwhelming forces (Curtis’s and Armstrong’s) joined together. I knew the fight between Hohenheim and “Father” wouldn’t go for long, but the reason Father couldn’t defeat (or rather take out the Philosopher’s Stone from within) Hohenheim better not be some “love” bullshit. The Briggs’ soldier partying so hard was a sure-fire sign shit was about to hit the fan, and I’m glad pretty much everybody shat bricks when King Bradley made a badass comeback. Next week’s gonna be awesome!
