Plot overdrive!
I feel a little stupid for posting episode 4’s review after the 5th one just aired last night, but I’ve just been insanely busy with stuff in real life. Both personal and work, which meant little time spent by me on deculture. Oh well, things are going back to normal now. So let’s get on with the show.
The episode begins with Tracy trying to find out from the doctor who she really is and what’s up with all these strange things she can do. Turns out I was right last week, sort of. Tracy is was part of triplets born after being genetically modified, which gave all three sisters unique abilities. Beyond this, the doctor knows naught, and when Tracy asks him for more info, which he cant remember (the Haitian again) she…
Before nitro-oxidizing the poor chap, Tracy lets go of him; and the doctor lives to die another day.
Back in the future, current-Peter is being given a quick tour around the city by future-Peter. Apparently the formula that Mohinder developed was released in public and instead of a global epidemic (season 2), everyone now has abilities, consequently leading to the worlds destruction as bad guys abuse their powers. Seems like fate screwed things up as usual and everyone we thought was good is now bad, and vice versa. Like take for instance the sweet innocent Claire we all know and love, who turns into a cold-hearted bitch in the future and…
Meanwhile in the past present, Hiro and Ando are still trying to sort out their differences during a futile attempt to escape from The Company.
What blew me away though, was future-Sylar being a good daddy and making waffles for his son, and greeting current-Peter with brotherly love.
This was not the end of my shock and awe. Future-Parkman and future-Daphne have are married, have a baby girl and also adopted Molly!
But the awesomeness doesn’t just stop here. Oh no sir. In a twist that can rival the best of Code Geass, the bad guys are good and the good guys are bad. Well, the good guys who turned bad think that they are good, and want to destroy the bad guys who turned good because they think they are bad. Confused yet? Your head ready to explode as well? Apparently, so was future-Sylar when the following events occured:
Back in the present, Tracy has decided that she’s not having any of this freezing shit, and decides to commit suicide after saying goodbye to Nathan. And well…
Later on in the night…
…and next thing we know, four years in the future…
Also, we see future-Claire…
Or rather what current-Peter deserves for being dumb enough to be caught by her.
Cut back to the present and we see Parkman almost at the end of his spiritual walk after…
Poor bastard never gets a break. Oh well, such is life.
At the end of the episode, we see…
…when she asks Hiro to bring back…
And on that note, see you very soon deculture!
